General Questions
If well packed, in most cases a 20-foot Go Mini’s container will hold the contents of a 3-bedroom home without appliances. The 12-foot Go Mini’s containers will hold a 1 bedroom condo without appliances. It is best to carefully assess your belongings to ensure you choose the appropriate size for your storage needs.
We accept Visa and MasterCard.
All of our storage rental containers are designed to be watertight and weatherproof – and the majority are stored outside year-round. There are no issues arising from the weather.
No food or food products, no paint, explosive items, flammable items, or anything deemed illegal in Ontario is permitted in the containers.
All the containers are 8 feet high and 8 feet wide. We have three lengths available: 12”, 16” and 20”.
The weight limit is 8000 pounds.
The rental period of a unit is for 4 weeks, and therefore the payments are taken every 4 weeks (28 days).
We offer coverage of up to $5000.00 worth of damage when you store at our facility. ($25.00 every 4 weeks). Your insurance provider may include coverage for your Go Mini’s storage rental container within your existing policy.
Portable Storage Questions
Heavy items should be positioned on the floor of the container, with lighter items on top. Use moving blankets to protect furniture and straps to secure belongings if necessary. The tighter the unit is packed, the more you will fit and the safer the contents will be.
We recommend that you safely pack all of your belongings using bubble wrap and boxes where appropriate. We are able to provide packing and moving supplies, which can be easily added to your order during the quote process and delivered with your unit.
The unit can stay at your location for the entire storage time. If you want the rental storage unit stored at our facility, then the rental container can stay at your location for as long as you need and we will pick it up when you are done packing. Unless a specific regulation defines the amount of time a container may be placed at your location, you may keep it for as long as you need.
Depending on the season and our schedule, containers can usually be delivered within 72 hours.
The Go Mini’s storage rental container is taken to our highly secure storage facility and stored there until you, the customer, schedule a delivery date for the container. You can also have easy access to your container at the facility by making an appointment through the office, with a minimum of 72 hours' notice.
Moving Questions
Go Mini’s has a great team of professional drivers who have years of experience moving our containers. Units are loaded slowly and safely on and off our trucks, and we also recommend and can provide our customers with packing supplies that will help keep your belongings secure inside the units.
Go Mini’s will recommend a few moving companies that we feel provide great services to their customers, and ours. Most of our customers take advantage our flexibility and load and unload at their leisure.
For as long as you need! We understand that things don't always go according to plan and that your moving date may be changed to factors entirely out of your control. That's why we don't place any time limits on our container rentals.

Our goal is to make your next move as simple as possible. Once you place your order, we'll deliver a container to your current address for you to load at your own pace. Once you're done, we can either move it directly to your new home for you or store it at our secure facility until you're ready to have it delivered. Delivery Questions
We need just 9½ feet width clearance and a minimum 14 feet height clearance. We will also need 80-100 feet of clearance directly in front of where you want the container placed.
No, you simply need to ensure that there is sufficient space for us to deliver. As a courtesy, we will call and confirm delivery instructions one day prior to delivering or picking up your container.
Wood boards are placed under the rubber-coated wheels of the units to disburse the weight and protect your driveway.
